A 2-month-old girl is fighting for her life after her father allegedly shook her so hard she needed to go to the hospital.

31-year-old Rocky Wischow appeared in Winnebago County Court Friday facing a charge of child abuse.

According to court documents his daughter had 6 seizures, is having trouble breathing and cannot eat as of Friday night.

According to the criminal complaint Wischow's daughter had "bruises on her cheek and jaw line" and had "suffered bleeding all over her brain consistent with shaking or rotation of the head."

When Wischow brought his daughter to the hospital and was asked what had happened by detectives, according to the criminal complaint, his story changed several times.  Originally he said, "the bruising may have  occurred when he was holding her face and attempting to suck mucus from her nose."

Then Wischow said he, "had been carrying his daughter, tripped and fell into a chair."

Later he said, "he bumped her head on the handle of the car seat."

Wischow is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.  His next court date is scheduled for January 19.
