A man was arrested Wednesday in Manitowoc for allegedly sexually assaulting someone at knife point and then returning to the scene while police were investigating.
Manitowoc Police say the suspect approached the victim on the 1100 block of 9th Street.
The attacker allegedly held a knife to the victim's stomach and led them behind a nearby business on the 1100 block of 10th Street late Tuesday night.
The victim told police they were sexually assaulted and the suspect led them away from the scene.
The victim was able to lead police back to the scene and while there, a male approached them, police said. Officers say that man was later identified as the suspect, questioned and arrested.
The suspect is charged with first degree sexual assault with a dangerous weapon.
He is being held at the Manitowoc County Jail pending a bail hearing. The suspect has not been identifie yet, however police said the suspect does have previous sexual assault conviction.
