Appleton Mayor Tim Hannahas been in office for almost 20 years. In that time, he says he's gained some wisdom and insight into the city and how it grows and what it needs to work.

Almost every election year at least one other candidate has been on the ballot. This year is no different with Josh Dukelow adding his name to the list of candidates.

This would be Dukelow's first election into office, although he is no stranger to working with the city. Most recently he served on the city plan commission.

Dukelow hopes to take over office and incorporate new ideas through his Refresh Appleton campaign, and enjoys taking input from local residents through recent forums.

Both candidates agree they have some common goals in mind, yet the methods in which they plan to achieve those goals are different.

Mayor Hanna looks to his record of progress over the last 20 years noting that when Appleton takes on a project, thought and consideration is put into it hoping for the best outcome.

Dukelow and Hanna also want to emphasize that while the Presidential election is getting a lot of attention, local offices play a large role in the people of Wisconsin's day to day life and they encourage you to get out and vote.
