Watch: Police warn about IRS Phone Scam:

Over the last few days, public safety officers have received more calls from victims who were instructed to wire money from their bank accounts or through gift cards. Some victims fell for the scam and are out of money totaling $10,000.

The IRS reports it has seen a huge surge in the phone calls where scammers threaten arrest by the police, deportation and loss of their drivers licenses if they don't pay.

Bottom line, don't fall for it. If you get a call, simply hang up the phone.
