A former piano teacher and Howard Trustee was convicted Thursday of sexually assaulting a young female student during private piano lessons.

A jury found James R. Widiger, 64, guilty of two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child.

He was acquitted of two other charges.

Two women, one who is now in her 20s, told police Widiger would touch them inappropriately during piano lessons. Both said the assaults happened when they were around 13 years old.

The assaults happened at the former Henri's Music and Piano Galleries Building and Jim's Music, both in Green Bay, according to court documents.
