Dozens marched in Green Bay Monday in support of public television.

The popular line-up of children's programming on PBS is at risk of losing significant federal funding under a recently proposed budget by President Trump.

Under the proposal, federal funding for the Corporation of Public Broadcasting, a primary funder for PBS, would be completely eliminated.

"Kids learn before you even start teaching them," said Leslie Ireland, a protestor from Green Bay. "They can watch these shows, and all of a sudden they'll say something that was just on that show. It's just really, really important."

Demonstrators marched from the City Deck in Green Bay to the Brown County Library.
