Deputies Identify Lake Winnebago kayaker

UPDATED May 16, 2016: 

The Calumet County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the kayaker whose body was found in Lake Winnebago Friday.

Warren Brown, 55 of Appleton, was found in the lake Friday morning.

UPDATE: The body of the missing kayaker has been found along the shore of High Cliff State Park.

Crews are searching for a missing kayaker on Lake Winnebago.

The 55-year-old man is believed to be in a white or red kayak.

City of Menasha Police officers found an unoccupied car at the Jefferson Park boat landing in Menasha.

The owner was believed to be out on Lake Winnebago Thursday afternoon.

He was supposed to return around 7:30 p.m. but never came back to shore.

Neenah/Menasha Fire Rescue, the Calumet County Sheriff’s Department and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department are using their marine units to search.
