Wis. Bank robbery suspect Devontae Amos gets away during FBI search

FBI agents continue to search for a Wisconsin bank robbery suspect who got away while investigators searched a Milwaukee home Tuesday, according to a news release from the FBI.

Devontae T. Amos, 24, has robbed three banks in West Allis and Oostburg since May, according to the news release.

Amos on Tuesday got away from a home on the 9700 block of W. Lisbon Ave. in Milwaukee as agents executed a search warrant at the residence, the news release said.

Amos, according to the news release, has robbed the following banks:

  • May 9: Wells Fargo, 6130 W. National Ave., West Allis
  • May 31: Pyramax Bank, 8001 W. National Ave., West Allis
  • July 26: Oostburg State Bank, 905 Center Ave., Oostburg

A reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of Amos.  A dollar amount for the reward was not provided.

Amos is considered armed and dangerous.
