The Appleton paper company Appvion has filed for bankruptcy.
The company announced dozens of layoffs several weeks ago.
The company sought bankruptcy protection to "restructure its business for long-term success."
The company expects to continue business as usual during the restructuring, according to a statement.
Appvion has plants in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and employs 1,400 people, according to an August news release.
