Appleton police sketch robbery suspect

UPDATE: Appleton police have composed a sketch of the suspect involved in last night's Robbery on E Calumet Street.

According to the Appleton Police Dept. they are investigating a robbery.

This happened at a business in the 3800 block of E. Calumet Street. Thursday evening. 

Police say an employee of the business called the police around 6:30 p.m. to report a robbery. 

There were no immediate reports of injury to anyone at the business. 

According to the employee, the suspect had left the business with an undisclosed amount of money and had a gun. 

Multiple squads responded to the area.

Police say based on initial information it is believed the suspect left the area of the business on foot. Police use a K9 to track the suspect, but they did not find the person.

The suspect was described as a black male, of an undetermined age. His height was described as being between 5’ 8” and 5’ 10” inches tall. He has a medium to heavy build and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses during the robbery.
