52-year-old woman arrested after Marinette County standoff

TOWN OF BEECHER, Wis. - A 52-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after a standoff in Marinette County.

Just after 12:15 p.m. on May 24, Marinette County dispatch received a 911 call regarding shots fired from a residence in the Town of Beecher, deputies said.

After successful negotiation by crisis negotiators, the woman surrendered and was taken into custody.

There were no injuries.

The woman's name is not being released right now.

The Marinette Police Department, Peshtigo Police Department, Pembine Rescue, Beacon Ambulance and Brown County/Green Bay Police Department assisted in the response.
