OCONTO FALLS, Wis—
UPDATE: The victims from the Traffic Fatality on Saturday May 13, 2017 are driver, 18 year old Crystal Marohl of Gillett and passenger, 54 year old Connie Schuettpelz of Gillett.
Two people are dead after a crashing with a semi-tractor trailer.
It happened around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday on Highway B at Beaver Lake Road.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office says the semi-tractor trailer was traveling northbound on Highway B, and a passenger car was traveling westbound on Beaver Lake Rd.
Officials say the preliminary investigation shows the driver of the car failed to yield from the stop sign and was struck by the truck in the intersection.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The operator of the semi was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
