DE PERE (NBC 26) -- The coronavirus has put a damper on things, but there are plenty of ways local business owners are looking to raise your spirits with some fun and a little art therapy.
The owner of Paintin' Pottery, Carolyn Caffrey, said when she learned more about COVID-19 she rolled out a website right away. She was completely closed for a short-time so she could learn, adapt and focus on safety, but still get the painting experience into people's hands during this difficult time.
Caffrey says once she learned more she was able to offer curbside pickup for "to-go" pottery. She said she's also able to ship to people's homes, if you just give a call or text to her at 920-338-9970.
Emily Beier painted the "Bunny Bank" on NBC 26 Today on Friday. This is one that will have to be brought back to Paintin' Pottery to be 'fired.' Once the project is fired, it will then be packaged up safely and quarantined for four days, before it can be picked back up. This process can take between 7 to 10 days to get your pottery project back.
