BUCK MOON: As Wisconsin celebrates the Milwaukee Bucks 2021 NBA Championship, ironically the BUCK MOON will shine bright this weekend!
Visibile from Thursday evening through Sunday morning, the July full moon has always been called the "Bucks Moon". This is because the bucks antlers are in full growth mode at this time. It actually has nothing to do with the Bucks basketball team winning the title, but we can pretend and celebrate anyways, right?!
The July full moon is also called the Thunder Moon, Berry Moon and Salmon Moon. But in Wisconsin, the Buck Moon is our favorite name this weekend!
Alongside the full moon that will be visibile for 3 days, you can also see Jupiter and Saturn.
Meteorologist Brittney Merlot explains in the video above how the cloud cover looks this weekend, with chances of showers and thunderstorms rolling in over the next few days. She will give you the best time to get outside and howl BUCKS IN 6 at the full moon!
