The holidays return for the "Merry-Time Festival of Trees" in Sturgeon Bay

STURGEON BAY, Wis. (NBC26) -- The 8th annual Merry-Time Festival of Trees is sure to, 'Wow' this holiday season as they bring in a few surprises to make this year bigger and better than the last!

Celebrate the holiday season with hot cocoa and carols for the opening of the Merry-Time Festival of Trees and the lighting of the Tug John Purves at the Door County Maritime Museum.

There are new decorations to enhance the experience and add to the family memories.

The trees are decorated by local businesses, organizations and residents. Every tree will go home with a lucky winner in the Merry-Time Festival of Trees raffle! Visitors can enjoy a live auction, a silent auction, the tree raffle drawing and a score of heavy hors d’oeuvres at the event’s final event, “Jingle Mixer Gala” on December 10. Museum admission includes a daily festival rate of $10 for adults (includes a free $5 Merry-Time Festival of Trees raffle ticket).

The festival begins Friday, November 8th with hot chocolate and carols for the opening night and the lighting of the Tug John Purves. The Festival wraps up on December 10th.
