Starbucks Is Selling Reusable Cups That Change Colors When Filled With Drinks

Need a little more color in your life? Starbucks has released a five-pack of reusable tumblers that change color when you fill them with an iced drink.

Just in time for summer, the new cups are available at Starbucks locations in both the United States and Canada, but they’re reportedly already sold out at many stores.

The cups hold 24 ounces of liquid, and they come in a five-pack priced at $16.95. They start out in bold, saturated colors and shift to their paler counterparts when you add cold liquid.

They come in five shades: tomato turns to aubergine, peach turns to hot pink, marigold turns to tangerine, sea turns to ocean and cobalt turns to deep purple.

How pretty!

This isn’t the first time Starbucks has blessed us with rainbow-hued reusable tumblers. Last year, the coffee giant released color-changing cups in a more pastel palette, as shown in this tweet from @ba1leye:

Those are pretty nifty-looking as well and certainly say, “Spring has officially sprung!”

These fun cups are perfect for all your favorite iced and frozen drinks from the coffee chain, and they’re environmentally friendly too!

Use the new tumblers to try out some of Starbucks’ newest iced drinks introduced this spring, including the Nitro Cold Brew with Salted Honey Cold Foam, the Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink, and the Iced Golden Ginger Drink, shown in this Instagram post from @girlfromtheoblongbox:

“When life gives you anything from Starbucks, drink it,” reads the cheeky caption. “And drank it I did. I’ve found my new drink.”

She notes that she modified the drink slightly by omitting one scoop of turmeric, which results in a yellowed-hued beverage that is both “spicy and smooth at the same time!”

I think it would perfect for pouring into the new marigold-to-tangerine-colored cup!

Are you excited to get your hands on the new color-changing cups?
