To the hater-ific haters of the increasingly hate filled hater-nation that is the sports fan landscape.... I need you to tone it down, dial it back a notch or 12, because last night we witnessed something incredible. We witnessed one of the best teams I have seen in my lifetime overcome a 3-1 series deficit to advance to the NBA finals and keep their chances of completing, what has been a historic season, with a title alive. It should be celebrated, it should be fawned over. What Curry and Klay did these past two games was nothing short of remarkable. If you turn to the internet, where the hate flows strong, a large portion of the comments are just killing the Thunder and specifically Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Twitter tough guys are calling them chokers, attacking their mental toughness, and yes OKC had their chances in this series but seriously... It took an NBA record 11 threes from Klay Thompson in game six for the warriors to force game 7. Then in game seven Steph Curry did what the unanimous MVP is supposed to do in game seven, he hit incredible shot after incredible shot over seven footers and their outstretched arms. The Thunder didn't give the series away, they didn't choke, they got beat by a team that is great with a capital "G" so for the love of all that is sport.... appreciate the good.... let go of the hate.
