St. Norbert men's hockey coach Tim Coghlin will be inducted into the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 9 in Eagle River, Wis.

Coghlin has been with St. Norbert for the past 24 years and led the Green Knights to four NCAA DIII National Champions and 17 NCAA tournament appearances. Even with his accolades, Coghlin was so humbled by the honor that he almost didn't accept the nomination.

"The first time the Hall called I said, can I call you back? After I talked to older players in the first graduating class they said it is time, this is something you should do," Coghlin said.

Success seems to follow the St. Norbert bench boss wherever he goes. Prior to coaching, Coghlin captained the UW Stevens Point team to a NCAA DIII National Championship in 1989. He was also drafted by the Vancouver Canucks and spent some time with the AHL Milwaukee Admirals before injuries ended his professional career.

Coghlin then returned to UW Stevens Point as an assistant coach where he won another national championship with the Pointers in 1993. He came to St. Norbert in 1995.

"Coaching to me has always been better than work," Coghlin said. "It's just been a wonderful ride here."
