Morning press conferences with Packers head coach Mike McCarthy are not always fiery. Today was different, today coach McCarthy was asked about the importance of Organized Team Activities, Minicamp, and practice in general. The question was in reference to Packers center Cory Linsley , who has missed the entire off-season so far, and coach McCarthy quickly turned the focus away from Linsley and towards the importance of practicing.
Coach McCarthy said "Well lets be real here, you have to practice, this has nothing to do with Cory I am talking about everybody, Jordy Nelson needs to practice, they all need the practices, that's why we have the practices, if I didn't need the practice we wouldn't practice them so ummm.. this time of year is very important. If it was up to me we would still have the 16 week off-season program."
