Packers Shields put on IR after Knile Davis trade

The Packers added help to its running game by trading for Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis. To make room for him on the roster, Packers GM Ted Thompson placed CB Sam Shields on injured reserve.

Earlier in the day, Shields posted his hope of returning later in the season.
