A Madison area teacher is giving the gift of life to one of her students. Beth Battista is scheduled to donate her kidney to 4-year-old Lyla Carreyn in February.
Lyla's mother, Dena wrote a letter Ellen DeGeneres and was able to schedule an appearance on Monday's show.
But, Dena received and extra surprise when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared in a pre-taped video.

Rodgers invited Beth to a Packers game. "Beth, What can I say, I was so moved when I heard your story and the incredible act of selflessness you're doing for Lyla," Rogers said. "It's an amazing thing that you get to spend some time with my friend Ellen and get your story out there."
