The Green Bay Packers will present former Packers fullback Dexter McNabb and Belmark Inc. CEO Karl A. Schmidt for shareholder vote to join the Packers Board of Directors this year.

The Annual Shareholders Meeting is set for 11 a.m. on July 24 at Lambeau Field.

McNabb played for the green and gold during the 1992 and 1993 seasons and is an associate principal at Green Bay West High School.

Schmidt is the president and CEO of Belmark Inc. in De Pere, which is a converter of pressure-sensitive labels, printed flexible packaging and folding cartons.

“Dexter McNabb and Karl Schmidt will be valuable additions to our Board of Directors,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “It is great to add another former player to the Board, especially one who has enjoyed so much success after his playing career, and Karl’s work in growing Belmark has been impressive.”

John Bergstrom and Charlies Lieb will take on emeritus status at this year's meeting. Bergstron has been a member of the Board since 1995 and member of the Executive Committee since 2005.

Lieb has been a Board member since 2007 and chaired the Foundation Committee for four years.

“John’s work for the organization over the years has been outstanding,” said Murphy. “He’s been instrumental in the growth of our Pro Shop as well as the development of Titletown. His passion for the Packers will be missed.”

Proposed to succeed Bergstrom on the Executive Committee is Michael D. Simmer, CEO of BMO Harris Bank, Green Bay. Simmer has been a member of the Board since 2005 and chairs the Investment Committee, after heading up the Audit Committee for several years. The proposed change will be taken up at the Board’s August meeting.
