The Packers announced they have re-signed wide receiver Max McCaffrey to their practice squad.

To make room for McCaffrey, the team released tackle/guard Don Barclay from injured reserve, where Barclay was placed in September after injuring his ankle during the preseason. He appeared in 62 regular-season games, including 24 starts, for the Packers since being signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2012. Barclay also saw action in eight postseason games, starting three of them for Green Bay.

McCaffrey, a Duke product, was first signed to the Packers' practice squad Dec. 20, 2016, and spent the entire offseason with Green Bay. He was released after training camp and spent a week on the Saints' practice squad before being signed to the Jaguars' active roster. For Jacksonville, McCaffrey played five games before being released Oct. 21.
