Pregame story

It's a new season for the Green Bay Packers. It could last one game, or it could last up to four games.

If the Packers get victory accomplished in Washington today, their season - subpar compared to expectations - gets extended one more week of hope, of dreams of Green Bay's record 14th world championship.

If the Packers don't get it done, flights to warmer climates will be scheduled from Green Bay on Monday and Tuesday.

What are the keys to victory? Of course, there are many.

- Health: The Packers have 18 players on the injured list coming into today.

- Experience: Perhaps that's not such a big key as we think it is - our Wayne Larrivee shows why.

- The aerial game: Washington's secondary is potentially ripe for being exploited, something the Packers' offense has not done consistently in months.

- Turnovers: They've committed eight in the last three games, with three of those turnovers turning into touchdowns.

Watch those aspects of today's game...and see how they effect who will win - and play another day.

Stay tuned.
