The big perception around the Green Bay Packers during this week in the run-up to the NFC Divisional Playoff in Arizona? They're underdogs.
Big underdogs, thanks to the Cardinals' 30-point blowout last month.
"They're going to be favored. They're the home team," admits wide receiver Jordy Nelson on 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Afternoon News."
He says, however, that being an underdog takes some pressure off.
"You just have to be relaxed and play football...cut it loose. You want to play well, but you don't have to worry about next week. You have to put it all out there, and if next week happens to be there, you get freshened up and go out there again."
How much have the Packers gone back to look at that film from 19 days ago?
"Everyone's watched it," said Nelson.
"Obviously, we watched it when we got back, and we've looked at it again. You can always learn things from every game, but the main things from it is that the game snowballed on us really quickly. There was an opportunity to go into halftime down 10-3. We had a turnover and they scored in the two minute and made it 17-0...then it just snowballed with the turnovers."
Is that loss a major motivating factor? Not necessarily, according to the injured receiver.
"It's playoff time. If you need to find extra motivation and this is the second round of the playoffs, you're looking the wrong way. Everyone is motivated and ready to go."
