Injury lowers Jaylon Smith's draft stock

The Packers could be in the market for a Linebacker and Notre Dame's Jaylon Smith could fit the bill. But it's a risky selection. If he had not suffered a major knee injury, torn ACL and MCL ligaments,  Smith would certainly have been slotted as a top ten pick.

Some saying he's the most talented player in the draft. But it's likely he will miss all of this upcoming season. Smith takes it all in stride. "It's a long term decision for whoever drafts me," Smith explained. I'm going to be a guy that will be around for a while playing at an elite level, an impact player.

Projections have smith dropping into the bottom half of the draft. But he is perhaps a guy the Packers could reach for with one of their two picks in the fourth round or a 5th round selection if he's still there.
