"They've got to start playing good...we're down to crunch time now."
Fewer words could ring true about the Green Bay Packers as they enter tonight's showdown with the Detroit Lions.
The Packers have lost four of their last five games and are in danger of falling into a precarious playoff positioning if they lose tonight. It would be their third divisional loss this year.
"Either the Green Bay Packers are not as good as we thought they were, or they're underperforming. Neither of those alternatives sound particularly attractive, but at this point you've got to hope they've been underperforming. That can be fixed in the final five games," said McCarren.
The offensive issues have grown to a point where Green Bay has scored 16 or fewer points in three of the last five games. The passing offense - with MVP Aaron Rodgers at the helm - is 24th in the NFL, a far cry from 2014 and many other previous years.
Larry says that the offense "just have not been able to create timely situations where the receiver is open and Aaron's looking at the guy. These things are all timing. When you're supposed to be out of your break, you've got to be out of your break. If you're not, and Aaron's going at a nanosecond, he's got to move on. Those kind of situations, that flawless timing, somewhere we've 'Lost that Lovin' Feelin' ' along the way."
