It appears that the Seattle Mariners are actively pursuing the newly re-signed Milwaukee Brewers' starting first baseman in a trade.
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthalsays that the Mariners are "trying to get (Adam) Lind from (the) Brewers."
Last month, the Brewers chose to exercise the $8 million option for Lind in 2016.
In the 2015 season, Lind hit .277 with 20 home runs and 87 RBI.
2016 is slated to be Lind's 11th year in MLB, with the first nine in Toronto before the trade involving pitcher Marco Estrada.
Lind has a career .274 average with 166 home runs and 606 RBI. His average dipped far below his .321 clip in 2014 (96 games in Toronto), but he produced 14 more homers and 47 more RBI in 149 games.
Seattle has already added former Brewers outfielder Nori Aoki to its roster.
