The Milwaukee Brewers are getting a both a pitching and catching prospect from the Oakland A's, but are giving up their starting left fielder.

The Brewers announced they are trading Khris Davis for minor league prospects Jacob Nottingham, a catcher, and pitcher Bubba Derby.

Last year, Davis hit .247 with 27 home runs and 66 RBI for the Brewers. In three years, he produced a .250 average with 60 homers and 162 RBI in 321 games.

In Class High A Stockton, Nottingham played 43 games. He hit .299 with 3 homers and 22 RBI. GM David Stearns had him in the Astros system for three years.

Derby played for the A's rookie league team in Arizona and with Vermont in the lower A level. He went 1-1 with a 1.21 ERA in 14 games.
