620WTMJ and the Milwaukee Brewers have announced that Jeff Levering, who has served as the No. 3 voice of the Brewers with Bob Uecker and Joe Block, takes the No. 2 slot now on the Brewers Radio Network next to Uecker.

The Brewers announced it following the decision of No. 2 voice Joe Block, who has served the role for four years, moves to the Pittsburgh Pirates Radio Network.

"It's a good day for folks in Milwaukee, and for folks in Pittsburgh, too. They're getting a real class act in Joe Block," said Levering on Saturday when he spoke with 620WTMJ's Brian Noonan.

"When (the Pittsburgh) position became open right before Christmastime, I figured Joe would put his name into the hat for it. His wife is from Pittsburgh," he further explained. Block's wife is from Pittsburgh, and they recently had a baby girl.

"It all came to fruition yesterday."

It then quickly came to fruition for Levering to rise to Block's role - a daily broadcast with Bob Uecker, hosting the pregame and postgame shows and doing three innings of play-by-play.

Levering had already been filling in for Uecker when he would take games off for rest, and has also been handling much of the digital and social media for the Brewers.

Once the No. 2 slot opened, his boss with the Brewers asked him, " 'How about working with Ueck everyday?' I said 'Sign me up!' "

Block talked about the move with 620WTMJ's Belinda Babinec on Saturday. Listen in our player below.
