Who will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch?None other than legendary Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker will be throwing out the first pitch on Tuesday. For Wednesday's game, former Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan will throw out the first pitch.
Will the Brewers be missing any major players during the Wild Card series?Unfortunately, yes. Ace pitcher Brandon Woodruff will not pitch in the Wild Card series due to injury.
“Frankly, his availability for the postseason is up in the air at this point,” manager Craig Counsell said Monday, a day before the opener of the best-of-three series against the Diamondbacks.
Woodruff is dealing with what Counsell described as a capsular injury. He had been expected to start Game 2 for the NL Central champions, following Corbin Burnes.
