The opening round of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic is complete and both Wisconsin natives in the field find themselves on opposite ends of the leaderboard.

Nerves got the best of Osceola, Wis. native Casey Danielson on the third hole of her LPGA tour debut.

"I hit a lot of putts, I'll just say that," Danielson joked.

Five to be exact. She triple bogeyed the hole but managed to regroup and shoot three birdies en route to a +2 round.

"I'm learning," Danielson said. "I think I'm going to learn a lot from that and all I can do is improve."

Meanwhile, Edgerton, Wis. native Allyssa Ferrell is on course to make the first cut of her LPGA career, carding a -3 in the opening round.

"I've been playing well the last couple weeks," Ferrell said. Of course I love being in Wisconsin so I hope to play well this week."

Ferrell tees off round two on Friday at 7:52 a.m from the tenth tee. Danielson begins the second round Friday at 9:09 a.m. also on the tenth tee.
