ASHWAUBENON (WGBA) -- When you think about the Kimberly athletic program and all of its success, boys volleyball might not come to mind. But after back-to-back trips to state and its first championship in program history, that might change.

"We knew we were the best team in the state," senior hitter Spencer Herman said. "We knew that we could win the gold ball and now that we did all the hard work has paid off.

"Kimberly is just a big football school but after winning a state championship and getting to the tournament two years in a row, now we're starting to see more fans at our games too," Herman continued.

"I'm glad to ee the culture is changing," junior hitter Cooper Polczinski said. "We've kind of built our own culture these last few years with the success we've seen."
