LA CROSSE, Wis. (NBC 26) — Mishicot has won its first WIAA championship in Girls basketball.

The Indians withstood a late rally Friday night to beat Mineral Point 70-66. Senior forward Kylie Schmidt led the way with 27 points and 16 rebounds.

Mishicot led by as many as 13 points in the second half before Mineral Point stormed back. The Pointers tied the game on multiple occasions, but never took the lead.
