It's a gridiron battle that could help decide the Fox River Classic Conference: Bay Port at Notre Dame.

The two teams, both with 5-0 records heading into the matchup, have every weapon you could possibly ask for.

Bay Port averages more points per game than any team in the entire state, over 55 on average. The Pirates haven't scored fewer than 48.

The run-first team has seven different players with a rushing touchdown this season, but the Pirates are dangerous in the air as well. Senior and Division I recruit Cordell Tinch has five touchdown catches and almost 400 receiving yards.

Notre Dame, on the other hand, loves to throw the ball. Junior quarterback Wes Glime has over 1,000 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. Again, the Tritons can run the ball too. Senior running back Michael Gregorie has 11 rushing touchdowns, 14 total. That's the most in the conference.

Here's what's at stake: both teams are tied with Green Bay Southwest for first place in the Fox River Classic Conference.

Bay Port plays Southwest next week and Notre Dame plays the Trojans the week after.

Somewhere, something has to give.

Kickoff between the Pirates and Tritons is 7 p.m. at Notre Dame. NBC26 will have highlights on Friday Night Blitz.
