One of the few collegiate football teams from Florida to play this past weekend was Florida Atlantic. The Owls headed to Madison for a matchup with the Badgers as Hurricane Irma made landfall down south.

Wisconsin won 31-14, but the Owls did not head back to campus after the loss.

Instead, the Florida Atlantic team remained in Madison Monday. They are unable to get back to Boca Raton because of Irma.

The Badgers have offered to pay for the team's hotel expenses and are allowing them to use their facilities as they prepare for their next game.

The Owls host Bethune-Cookman in Boca Raton next Saturday, September 16.

Wisconsin heads to Utah for a matchup with BYU that same day.
