The Bay Port hockey team's season has been historic, with the Pirates making it to the state tournament for the first time in school history.
It wasn't exactly an easy path to get there. Bay Port was a 6-seed entering the postseason.
While some coaches may try and calm their team down for a game like this, Bay Port coach Mike Buchan is going the other way.
"We've kind of thrived off that and being excited, and nerves aren't such a bad thing in our locker room," he said. "I kind of hope that they feed off that some more once we get down there, and they're starting to believe that. So we've got to stay calm, but at the same time, we want that excitement to carry out onto the ice."
Fan buses will leave from Bay Port High School Thursday morning to cheer on the Pirates.
The Pirates will face Sun Prairie in the quarterfinals Thursday in Madison.
