Just off of County Highway B in Suamico, an idea for a career started sprouting more than 20 years ago.

"My grandpa, he used to grow a garden and he had pumpkins and he used to bring over 50 to 100 pumpkins," said Chris Blaser. "I would go around with a wagon and sell them to the neighbors and have a good old time and now I've taken it to the next level I guess."

Blaser is the owner of Blaser's Acres. He's turned his childhood side job into a full-time career.

"The pumpkin patch and the pick your own strawberries, I mean that's the laid back enjoyable part of it," he explained. "Making deadlines with the grocery stores is not as much fun."

At this ever growing pumpkin patch, you can check out over 20,000 different shapes, sizes and colors of pumpkins grown right here in Northeast Wisconsin.

"Just the visual of it is definitely something to see," Blaser said.

But the activities go much farther than just finding the perfect jack-o-lantern for your door step.

"The set up they have here and the things for the kids to do you can spend as much time out here as you want to," said Dawn Anthony of Suamico.

With activities like a 10 acre corn maze, a hay ride, a petting zoo and all the options of pumpkins a kid could ask for, Blaser's Acres will send you home with more than just the perfect pumpkin.

Blaser's Acres is open 9 a.m.- 7p.m. daily. For more information, visit their Facebook page here.
