GREEN BAY, Wis. — A loud boom prompted a precautionary lockdown of area schools Wednesday morning, Green Bay Police say. The only school police named as being locked down was Preble High.
Green Bay Police were able to confirm that a power transformer in the area had blown, causing the booming noise. Police reported downed power lines.
Police say the lockdown was lifted after approximately 25 minutes and school resumed as normal for the rest of the day.
