GREEN BAY - The YWCA invited many people from the community to partake in a "poverty simulation." Participants gathered in groups and acted like families who live either below the poverty line, or just above it, but still struggle financially.
In 2016, United Way in Brown County released statistics that show 34% of people in Brown County are living in the low income threshold. Given these statistics, the YWCA held an event to give the remaining members of the count and idea for it is like for those struggling financially.
