An Oxford woman has died after deputies said she drove the wrong way on I39 in southern Marquette County Tuesday and crashed.
Londa L. Geiwitz, 54, of Oxford was killed in the crash.
A Marquette County Sheriff's deputy saw her driving north in the southbound lane just before 10 p.m. on October 3.
Before the deputy could stop her, she crashed into a bridge at mile marker 101. Her car overturned and came to a stop on County Road CX.
Geiwitz was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the fifth traffic fatality in Marquette County in 2017.
