Dozens of people braved the elements Saturday in cold temperatures and rugged terrain to bring awareness to an important cause.
The sixth annual Winter Warrior's 5K took place at Mid Valee Golf Course in Wrightstown Saturday.
The challenging course is designed to be that way on purpose, giving people a taste of the harsh conditions veterans can be put in while serving the country.
"It's fantastic, it's a great feeling certainly would like to do more but whatever we can do that's what we do," said Brian Fezatte with the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin.
The event raises several thousand dollars for the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin to help them care for veterans throughout the year.
