A workshop is helping Hispanic groups get a better understanding of their legal rights.
The event is hosted by Voces de la Frontera and lead by Pastor Ricardo Torres. In the workshop, deportation laws are explained in an effort to calm growing fears following President Trump's executive orders.
The workshop also featured the Green Bay Police Chief and Green Bay Mayor, who were open for questions.
"I think there's a lot of concern that police are going to become agents of immigration and I want to make sure that our immigrant community knows we're there to protect everybody and we're really not concerned with their immigration status when they're a victim of a crime or that crime has occurred," explained Green Bay chief of police, Andrew Smith.
The workshop is part of a statewide effort, with meetings taking place across Wisconsin.
