Authorities have charged a Racine man with killing a woman and dumping her body in a trash bin behind a supermarket.
The criminal complaint says 49-year-old Harry Fumich lived above the market. It says a witness told police that Fumich asked him to move the bin near his balcony Tuesday evening so that he could drop a large item into it. The witness said the body was wrapped in a blanket.
The witness called police the next morning. A woman who lived in Fumich's apartment told police he strangled the victim.
The complaint says Fumich told police the victim owed him money for cocaine. The body was found at a landfill.
Fumich was charged Thursday with first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. Court records don't list a defense attorney.
