Teen Amputee Gets Camp Scholarship

Posted

Zachary Lux, is a 13 year old Washington Island, teen who has been granted a scholarship to The Amputee Coalition's Youth Camp, in Clarksville, Ohio. Nothing holds the 13 year old teen back, and enjoys playing both basketball and soccer on his school's teams. The rising sixth grader was adopted three years ago from China, by the Lux family, learning to become self sufficient after losing his lower right leg, the toes on his left foot, and three fingers to amniotic banding syndrome. Zachary leaves next week for the camp, designed for kids, and teens living successfully with limb loss. The camp runs July 8th through the 13th.
