More than 1,000 people are expected to walk Sunday, April 30 for a world free of multiple sclerosis (MS).
Walk MS: De Pere will take place at West De Pere High School, 655 Grant St.
Check-in and on-site registration begins at 9 a.m., with the walk starting at 10 a.m. Participants will be able to choose a one- or three-mile route beginning and ending at the high school.
Last year’s walk raised more than $131,000 with proceeds supporting MS-related research and services. There is no registration fee for Walk MS but donations and fundraising are encouraged.
Spread across three weekends this spring and another weekend in the fall, Walk MS will take place in 20 Wisconsin cities throughout 2017.
More than 11,000 children, women and men in the state have been diagnosed with MS, believed to be one of the higher prevalence rates in the nation.
