The Verizon IndyCar Series KOHLER Grand Prix takes center stage June 23 – 26. There will be an international line-up of drivers. They will be joined by the Pirelli World Challenge featuring many of the world’s top sports cars and drivers in an all out wheel-to-wheel battle.
The Pirelli World Challenge consists of seven classes offering a competitive slot for nearly every sports car and sports sedan available.
Races are run in a timed, sprint format from start to finish and begin with the series’ trademark standing start. With door-to-door racing, no scheduled pit stops, driver changes and classes running together, it’s like watching the intensity of the final lap, every lap.
Road America attracts more than 800,000 visitors a year from every corner of the world. Over 425 events are held annually at Road America.
Ryan Eversley and Gino Carini joined us on Wisconsin Tonight to talk about this weekend’s events.
Eversley drives the factory ACURA from RealTime Racing in Wisconsin in the Pirelli World Challenge GT sports car division.
Carini is a successful businessman who races professionally in a BMW in the Touring Car class.
Both racers will be part of the huge weekend for the Kohler Grand Prix.
