Tech Talk: Inspired Mobility

Posted at 7:06 PM, Mar 25, 2016
With Easter coming up this weekend, you might be looking for a different - even convenient way to connect spiritually. In fact, for more and more people, taking time to pray can be as easy as connecting online. Jason Strong visited “Wisconsin Tonight” to explain.

How do you use mobile devices to uplift and inspire? Recently, AT&T launched Inspired Mobility – a national conversation about the cultural shift in how people use mobile and Internet technology to enhance their faith experience.

AT&T did a survey recently and found that most people (90%) said mobile technology helps them connect to their faith community. Drawing on that, AT&T and Rev Run, one of the founding members of the hip-hop group Run DMC and now a practicing minister, launched the #inspiredmobility campaign.

There are also some fun apps:

Bible FREE
The app simply called “Bible” is a fantastic free Bible app. You’ll have access to most of the popular translations and have them available for offline reading. The Bible is the cornerstone of any believer’s life. But, if this app doesn’t do it for you, there are literally hundreds of other options.

Haggadah for Passover - by Kosher Penguin LLC $0.99
The most important tradition of the Passover celebration is the telling of the story of Jewish exodus from Egyptian slavery. The holy text, the Haggadah, outlines this story. Haggadah for Passover conveniently gives you access to the whole story. This app is key for having your Seder run smoothly. Prompts are included on when to drink the cups of wine. Also included are the Ma Nishtana (The Four Questions), The Four Sons, and The Ten Plagues.

Hidden Egg Hunt FREE
Combining hidden object gameplay with arcade-style action is Hidden Egg Hunt. Players search for Easter eggs and power-ups and drag them into their Easter Basket to earn points. This app provides a great way to get your entire family into the Easter spirit.
