Tech Talk: Football Apps

Posted
Packers fans, Badgers fans -- they go hand in hand. Here to tell us more how to make the most of following the Badgers, and new information about Camp Randall is AT&T’s Jason Strong.

The most important part of Badger Football is MAKING MEMORIES whether you are lucky enough to be inside Camp Randall or keeping track of the action virtually.

So in conjunction with UW, AT&T powers the Badgers Game Day app – the app in itself is a social experience they share with friends and family – especially those “Jump Around” videos.

With this app, this season, every fan will have the best seat in the house. Fans can view plays from every angle and access four screens of live-streaming video using our Badger Game Day App. Every fan can get a free program as well, which is also downloadable from the app.

During the off season, AT&T added capacity to the Distributed Antenna System at Camp Randall. This increases LTE capacity at the venue by nearly 60 percent, making it even easier for fans to check stats, take selfies, text, and make calls.

“Last season, Badger fans used an average of 266 gigabytes (GB) of mobile data per home game on our network. 266 GB is equal to more than 760,000 selfies.”
