The Tall Ship Festival takes place Friday Aug. 5 – Sunday Aug. 7 in Green Bay. 
 
This year’s festival features fireworks on Friday night and Prevea Family Day on Sunday, August 7 when children can get into the festival for just $5. The festival will also have expanded family activities this year, including The School House Kids Zone. Festival hours are Friday Noon – 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Leicht Memorial Park.
 
It is expected to draw an estimated 50,000 people with an economic impact of $3.6 million for the Green Bay area.
Also new this year, the World’s Largest Rubber Duck. At 61 feet tall “Mama Duck” is taller than a six story building and weighs 11 tons, roughly the weight of 5 1/2 cars.
 
The 2016 festival includes nine vintage ships for on-board tours or sail excursions. There will also be a wide variety of food, entertainment and maritime marketplace.
 
Discounted tickets are currently on sale at Festival Foods stores in the Green Bay area, Fox River Valley, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc and Sheboygan. Those tickets are $10 for an adult ticket, and senior (62+) and children’s tickets (ages 5-12) for $8. The tickets are available at the customer services counter.
